Benetel RAN650 Successfully Integrated with Amarisoft 5G RAN Platform

By September 15, 2026No Comments

European 5G innovation takes another step forward as Benetel and Amarisoft demonstrate multi-vendor interoperability for private 5G networks.

Benetel is pleased to announce the successful integration of its RAN650 5G Radio Unit with the Amarisoft 5G RAN software platform, demonstrating the potential of an open, multi-vendor approach to private 5G network deployment.

The integration brings together two European 5G technology companies with complementary capabilities: Benetel’s interoperable Open RAN radio technology and Amarisoft’s software-based 5G RAN platform. Together, the solution demonstrates how open interfaces and standards-based interoperability can provide an alternative to traditional closed, single-vendor network architectures.

Supporting European private 5G innovation

The integration was successfully delivered in partnership with the PL-5G test laboratory at Gdańsk University of Technology, providing a practical demonstration of interoperable 5G technologies working together in a real test environment.

By combining the Benetel RAN650’s 3GPP-compliant 5G Split 7.2x radio technology with Amarisoft’s 5G software suite, the work demonstrates how disaggregated network architectures can support more flexible and accessible private 5G deployments.

This is particularly relevant to the development of European sovereign private 5G networks, where interoperability, open standards and the ability to combine technologies from multiple vendors are increasingly important.

The successful integration at PL-5G highlights what can be achieved when European technology providers and research institutions collaborate around open interfaces and multi-vendor interoperability.

Integration tutorial coming soon

To help customers, developers and the wider Open RAN community understand the integration in more detail, Amarisoft and Benetel will publish an integration tutorial covering the setup and configuration of the RAN650 with the Amarisoft 5G RAN platform.

Check back soon for the full tutorial and technical details.

Benetel would like to thank the teams at Amarisoft and Gdańsk University of Technology’s PL-5G laboratory for their collaboration in making this integration possible.

This successful demonstration represents another step towards more open, interoperable and flexible private 5G networks in Europe.
