Update on Mobile World Congress Situation

By February 13, 2020November 11th, 2021No Comments

As most of you will already be aware, the GSMA formally announced yesterday evening that the ongoing threat posed by Coronavirus has meant that Mobile World Congress 2020 is cancelled. Benetel’s CEO, Adrian O’Connor, has made the following statement in response:

“Gathering in Barcelona each year for Mobile World Congress is a major highlight of the calendar for all those involved in the mobile communications sector. Although we are disappointed that the event will not take place this year, we fully support the GSMA’s decision and believe it is the right course of action.”

“The Benetel team is doing everything possible to limit the commercial and logistical disruption caused by yesterday’s announcement. Consequently, we will be employing various other means to ensure we are still able to engage with our customers and technology partners, as well as the press and industry analysts, so that they are all kept up to date with our latest innovations. We look forward to returning once again to Barcelona next February.”
