Electronics Manufacturing Engineer

Dublin, Ireland

The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes of our 5G radios, ensuring product quality, assisting with manufacturing issue debug and resolution and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires a strong understanding of electronic manufacturing processes and standards, as well as experience of introducing new product into production.


Manufacturing Engineer Job Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates manufacturing processes.
  • Improves manufacturing efficiency by analysing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
  • Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods.
  • Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production and material costs.
  • Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Maintains product and company reputation by complying with internal process requirements.
  • Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services.
  • Maintains product and process database.
  • Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians.
  • Assists manufacturing with issue debug and resolution.


Manufacturing Engineer Skills Required

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Takes initiative
  • Third level qualification related to electronic engineering
  • Ability to work independently and to lead across functions e.g. with R&D and quality teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in PCBA debug and/or re-work
  • Understanding of IPC-7711/7721 procedures is preferred
  • Experience of production or test software scripting would be an advantage

 Manufacturing Engineer Education Requirements and Related Experience

  • Minimum of 3 experience in an engineering discipline
