Project Manager – 5G Development

Dublin, Ireland (primarily on-site)

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead cross-functional delivery of 5G Radio Units and other RF systems. The ideal candidate has experience managing complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects in telecommunications, wireless, or networking domains, with a focus on on-time, high-quality product delivery.

 

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

  • Own project delivery for development initiatives, from concept through commercialisation.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and risk registers.
  • Manage scope, timelines, dependencies, and resource allocation across hardware, software, RF, and systems teams.
  • Drive milestone reviews to release readiness.
  • Key point of contact between engineering, product management, operations, QA & Customer-facing teams
  • Align engineering execution with product roadmap and customer requirements.
  • Translate technical complexity into clear project plans and executive-level updates.

Risk, Quality & Compliance

  • Identify technical, schedule, and supply-chain risks early and drive mitigation plans.
  • Ensure projects meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and telecom compliance
  • Support verification, validation, and field trial readiness.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field.
  • 3+ years of PM experience in telecom, wireless, or high-tech product companies.
  • Proven experience managing complex development products
  • Good understanding of 5G / LTE / wireless technologies (technical depth not required, but good conceptual understanding is essential).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification.
  • Experience with carrier-grade products, OEMs, or Tier-1 telecom customers.
  • Exposure to manufacturing, NPI (New Product Introduction), and supply-chain coordination.
