Benetel is celebrating 15 years in business! With product sales quadrupling and workforce doubling over the past 2 years, it is an exciting time for the company.
Benetel was founded in 2001 by a team of four engineers from the world’s leading ICT companies, including Motorola and Lucent Technologies. “The idea was to get the right people together in the right environment and see what was possible,” says Benetel co-founder and CTO, John Doyle. “We basically wanted to get clever people together to build interesting things – it was an engineering motivation above all else!”
Now with a client base made up of the world’s leading wireless OEMs and systems integrators, Benetel today employs 30 people and has entered into a new phase of growth. “Right now we are focused on harnessing all that technical capability that exists within Benetel and turning it into real value for our clients”, says Benetel CEO Adrian O’Connor.
For Benetel’s clients, that value lies in radically increasing the speed to market of the newest 4G LTE Small Cell Base Stations for an array of increasingly challenging applications. With mobile data usage doubling each year and the networks urgently in need of increased capacity, this is a market that is expected to grow rapidly in the years to come.
Here’s to another 15 years!
